Will This Take Place???

Well well well, it looks like Chelski could meet The KOP when the Champions League Group Stage kicks off. The Blues are among the group of eight second seeds who may also face European giants Real Madrid, AC Milan or Barcelona.
This is a maassive news for the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United who are guaranteed to avoid the most powerful sides in the group stage of the Champions League.
However, it is not so much of a ride in the park for Everton as this being their first ever appearance in the Champions League ,they could end up having to beat Inter Milan, Sporting Lisbon or fierce local rivals Liverpool in the qualifying rounds before even thinking of proceeding further.
Benni Pleas....

Benni Pleas for Rovers to sign him from FC Porto. However the gap between Porto's valuation of the 27-year-old and the fee Blackburn are prepared to offer is still way off the mark, that the deal might just fall thru' unless both clubs come to a formal argreement.
McCarthy, who was signed by then Porto manager Jose Mourinho, appears enthuastic about his potential move to Blackburn Rovers by saying that he feels he could be the one that could leave Rovers back ot the glory days of '95. I sincerely hope that John Williams will allow "sparky" to sign Benni.

Shefki Kuqi - 1st Real Signing??

BLACKBURN boss Mark Hughes is closing in on his first signing of the summer after opening talks with Shefki Kuqi. Representatives of the Finnish international, were at Ewood Park yesterday to discuss the possibility of the player joining Rovers on a free transfer. Ideally, Hughes would love to add 3 to 4 more new faces to the ewood park outfit and with resources being tight, Kuqi would therefore fit the bill perfectly.
Both Benni McCarthy & Craig Bellamy are also linked to Rovers. It would definately be MASSIVE step forward if "Sparky" were to sign all 3 strikers for the club.
Guti To HIGHBURY?

Real Madrid midfielder Guti wants to move to Arsenal this summer as he prepares to leave Real Madrid.
The 28-year-old wants regular first-team football after finding himself left out in the cold following the arrival of former Toffees's danish midfielder Thomas Gravesen.
His agent Zoran Vekic has made it clear that Highbury would be Guti's preferred destination.&
